Begoña Olavide & Candela Pan present “Vínculos”

This interdisciplinary event is a visual concert in which the psalteries, voice, and percussion of Begoña Olavide merge with video projections and images of the artwork by Candela Pan. For the first time, mother and daughter share the stage, uniting their artistic paths. Melodies and paintings in sync, chords and brushstrokes, rhythms that converse with sculptures… Poetry will intertwine the elements, and anecdotes will provide the foundation for these creations. A meeting where the bonds of art and blood merge for the enjoyment of the audience and the two creators.
Begoña Olavide was born in Madrid. In the 1990s, she moved to Mojácar, where she established her life and work space with the luthier Carlos Paniagua. Both dedicate themselves to the research and revival of medieval instruments, including the psalteries, which are the focus of Begoña’s musical activity. From Mojácar, she prepares her concerts and records part of her music. Throughout her career, she has performed concerts in Europe, Africa, North America, South America, and Asia.
Candela Paniagua Olavide, Candela Pan, is a visual artist specializing in painting, sculpture, and installation. She was born in Madrid into a family of musicians, an environment that has profoundly shaped her artistic journey. Since 2012, she has lived and worked in Berlin, a city that, with its contrasts and vibrant cultural life, inspires and nurtures part of her creative process. She has held solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Nigeria.

Este evento interdisciplinar es un concierto visual en el que los salterios, la voz y las percusiones de Begoña Olavide se funden con proyecciones de vídeos e imágenes de la obra plástica de Candela Pan. Por primera vez, madre e hija comparten escenario, uniendo sus trayectorias artísticas. Melodías y pinturas al compás, acordes y trazos de dibujo, ritmos que dialogan con esculturas… La poesía entrelazará los elementos y las anécdotas darán sustento al origen de estas creaciones. Un encuentro, donde los vínculos del arte y de la sangre se funden para el disfrute del público y de ambas creadoras.
Begoña Olavide nace en Madrid. En los años 90 se traslada a Mojácar, donde establece junto al luthier Carlos Paniagua su espacio de vida y trabajo. Ambos se dedican a la investigación y recuperación de instrumentos medievales, entre ellos los salterios, que centran la actividad musical de Begoña. Desde Mojácar prepara sus conciertos y realiza parte de sus grabaciones. A lo largo de su trayectoria ha ofrecido conciertos en Europa, África, América del Norte, América del Sur y Asia.
Candela Paniagua Olavide, Candela Pan, es una artista plástica especializada en pintura, escultura e instalación. Nace en Madrid, en el seno de una familia de músicos, un entorno que ha marcado profundamente su camino artístico. Desde 2012 vive y trabaja en Berlín, ciudad que por sus contrastes y su vibrante vida cultural, inspira y nutre parte de su proceso creativo. Ha realizado exposiciones individuales y colectivas en Alemania, España, Países Bajos, Portugal y Nigeria.
